Calling All Virgins?

When I first heard that Veggie Grill in Irvine was calling on all “virgins” to come out for its Virgin Night this Tuesday, I thought that’s not going to be much of a crowd. But then, I realized, a “virgin” was just a friend who is experiencing The Veggie Grill for the first-time. Ok, that’s completely different.

So hear you go, on Tuesday you can treat a “virgin” friend to a complimentary entrée provided at The Veggie Grill. Looks like you’re going to have to find out exact details about how to participate on the restaurant’s Facebook and Twitter pages on Monday, Jan. 11. The restaurant’s extensive menu of delicious comfort foods, just so happens to be 100% plant-based.

Terrariums, So Hot Right Now!

I completely forgot about terrariums, until I read The Ecology Center’s first-ever workshop on the art of terrariums! And like anything that’s tie-dye, I love this remnant from the 70’s. This Saturday, Jan. 9 at 1 p.m. you can create an entirely self-sufficient ecosystem that fit inside one-gallon glass jars.
